Have anyone used the SM Development Flash Waves Kit?

I found this wireless trigger while I was looking for other lighting equipments.

It was unknown to me before. I am wondering whether anyone has used this

wireless strobe trigger kit, one between eBay wireless kit and the Pocket

Wizard. If so, I would like to hear any feedback. Here is the wireless trigger

I've never seen it nor heard of it.

Why does the image look like a 3D illustration, and not an actual product photo?

 

If i were you, i'd stick with the industry standard Pocket Wizard, or look into the MicroSync, if the (much) smaller form factor is an issue.

Used this item today-worked VERY well-no issues whatsoever-$270 Canadian at Stan C Reade in London Ontario...

How it compares to much more expensive of the Pocket Wizard and on the same price range of the Elinchrom EL-Skyport?

I cannot comment as I have never used a Pocket Wizard. They seem to have the market-I always see PW on any camera on any photo shoot on TV. Recently attended a seminar on flash and the instructor used PW-I understand they're very dependable but Im sure the Flash Waves is a good product as well considering the $270 cost.

Sorry, The system works with our studio gear but not with the Canon 580 EX. The strobe will fire sporadically. The Mfg says that there is an internal conflict.

I work with a canon explorer of light and he uses the Flash Wave kit for in studio photography and on location shoots with Broncolor packs and heads and he loves them. He loves them much more than the pocket wizards, but I couldn't comment on using them with the canon flashes due to no experience.
