The Aveeno (a Johnson & Johnson skin care line) TV commercials during the current Beijing Olympics feature a

woman with a Hasselblad V series camera. It gives her a classy look that one cannot get with the modern lineup of

cameras.

And TLRs are also being used as props for models. I think when something becomes very obscure, there can sometimes be a coolness factor to it. But I think the real reason is that photographers have a bunch of film cameras around the studio, collecting dust, so they say to their models..."ah, here, take this thingy and hold it."
