Has anyone tried to calibrate PC Tablet?

Recommended Posts

I have HP PC tablet. I calibrated monitor which changed colors somewhat. But

what I see on the screen is more yellow and lighter that what is printed. I

made an experiment, trying to see whether it's monitor or printer. I converted

photo to black and white and on the screen and looks almost sepia, but printed

neutral on the printer. I wonder whether PC Tablet is calibrateable at all; it

does not have any brightness/contrast/color adjustment controls on the monitor

and calibration does not do much.

I agree with Edward, you will not be able to calibrate the PC Tablet. I use a Dell Inspiron 9300 for all work which has a nice bright and color rich screen. But there is absolutely no comparison between that laptop screen and the Eizo which I use for all darkroom (I mean lightroom) work. The images are absolutely unusable for toning, processing and print work on the internal display. Unfortunate, but true. Yes, I calibrate the internal display monthly with an eye-one, but that is mainly for "relatively pleasing to the eye" factors and not for color calibration to print or lab.
