jonathan_brewer1
I saw a movie about a champion of mine and one of the greatest jounalists who ever lived, Edward R. Murrow, and his deathstruggle w/Joe McCarthy, 'Goodluck and Goodnight', which has just been released in theartres, and shot in 'black and white'!!! It's not only a faithfully accurate docudrama/slice of history, it was brilliantly photographed, the movie is introspective, cerebral, and ended with the audience giving the movie a tremendous burst of applause as the movie ended. The lighting techniques which were used, mimic lighting techniques used in the same time period as the story, and the makers of this movie gave the Cinematographer a chance to make the lighting special. I would recommend this movie to anybody who's interest in lighting.
gaetano catelli
the movie was as dishonestly misleading as any in the history of cinema. that said, i agree that the lighting was gorgeous, and i would gladly see the movie a 2nd or even a 3rd time in order to appreciate, and hopefully learn from, the wonderful lighting.
