randall cherry
Hi All, Another New York City destination questions: Can anyone recommend some good photography galleries in New York City? Any media (color, B&W, etc.) and any style (portrait, photojournalism, street, etc.) is fine. I just want to see lots of quality work. Thanks! --Randall

david_gillich
Hi Randall, Checkout the website below. I haven't been to NY in a couple months (I need to go!), but a quick look at the exhibitions calendar shows a Lee Friedlander show downtown that sounds interesting. I like to walk around Chelsea and check stuff out, but if you are only interested in photography, the MOMA has a small but nice collection on permanent display. It is impressive to see so many great works together in one room - that is, if you can see around the mobs of people. Have fun!
