dave_redmann
Can you recommend a good, basic, free program for a Windows-based PC to view DICOM medical images, like x-rays and CT scans? I realize that proper interpretation requires fairly specific, high-end hardware. The point is more to be able to determine what images / sets of images are present on discs (from third parties), so some ability to manage / catalog in a modest way would be very helpful, over and above just viewing single images. In other words, if a disc contains three CT scans, and each has 50 'slices', the ability to recognize the built-in organization would be a huge plus. I have tried a couple of programs in the past, but never found anything really satisfactory (didn't run and/or very un-user-friendly). Thanks!
