Uncle Goose
The Gevabox was made by Gevaert before the big merge with Agfa. It was basically nothing more than an upgradedboxcamera. It has 2 shutterspeeds, 1/50 and 1/100 and a bulb-function. The upright position of the film indicatesthat it was aimed for portraits, you could flip it for landscape but it seems a little awkward to use it in thatfashion. It uses the film consuming 6x9 format which gives you 8 exposures on 120 film. The 2 shutterspeedstogether with the 2 apertures (11 and 16) gives you a little more control although it's suggested to be used on asunny day with ISO 50 film. The pictures are more or less sharp, especially further away. All in all it's a funcamera which can be scored for little money and it's certainly a nice design.

This is the little fellow.

Quite sharp for a single lens construction.

The Bottom is a little unsharp, don't know why. (it's on the negative, it's not the scanner)
rustys pics
Hey not bad! Pretty decent lens. It may be out of focus on the bottom if the film was not held flat inside. Not uncommon on a cheap camera. I really like the shape of that body....reminds me of something from the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
richard_
A 6x9 format with a vertical orientation : Cool!
jack_welsh
Makes a great people camera! The negs are big enough to have them contact printed if so desired.
tony_lockerbie
Certainly is a pretty camera, results are good too. I have a Gevabox, but it's a traditional looking box camera, probably from the fifties or sixties. The only thing that sets it apart from the vast array is the fact that it does have scale focussing, looks pretty well made as well. Tony
chuck_foreman1
Hi, Cool Photos.. I'm really impressed with the shape of the camera. Is this Art Deco? Whatever it is.. it's appealing! I think this is a relatively useful camera if you've got two speeds and two apertures. I'd be happy. I've just shot a roll of Ilford 50 in my Agfa Box. The one or the other could of benefited from a smaller aperture. Keep my eye out for this one!! Thanks
Andy Collins
That's a nice camera, cool design. I like the pictures, especially the second one.
