Fun Fun Lens Time

If you are trying to research things, I don't find the Nikon site so very helpful, but it is more entertaining than the tabular data presented by some other (needless to name them) leading makers. :|
The 'mir' site is a good place to go for mostly reliable information on Nikon (and others too):

That is a valid point, JDM. I have used MIR frequently and it is a great resource. Roland Vink also has an excellent Nikkor database.

For those who haven't read any, the Thousand and One Nights series offer inside accounts about the development of significant Nikon/Nikkor products.

Ah, the Fun Fun lens set again..
This lens set was issued in 1995 for 1 year ( Original name was Nikon Amusing lens set). Later on in 2000 it was issued again in a limited editition. THose sets sell for a good amount to collectors if complete,

Here is some more information on this :

Yes, yes, I didn't mean to ignore the original post on the "Fun" set. I was simply obsessing with the "Thousand and One Nights" site in general.

I confess I was a Nikonista at the time and don't remember ever hearing about these.
