FujiGSW690II, 'T' setting malfunction.

I recently purchased a FujiGSW690II and the 'T' shutter speed setting has stopped

working consistently.

 

When I press the shutter release, sometimes the shutter remains open (as it should),

but other times the shutter exposes quickly, as if it were on a fast shutter speed. I'd

say the chances are 50/50 that it works properly (all seemed fine when I bought the

camera).

 

I was wondering whether anyone understood the inner workings of Fuji shutter -

particularly at the 'T' setting? What might be causing the

problem. Is it a problem that could be repaired? (Perhaps not, as mine is a version II

rangefinder, not the more recent version III).

(p.s. I'm fully aware of the idiosyncrasies of the 'T' setting on properly functioning Fuji

rangefinders.)

I have the same camera. I doubt there is much difference in the mechanics between models II abd III. I've got some information filed somewhere on places to send these cameras for repair. I'll find it and add it here.
