jimsimmons
Is the lag in the viewfinder of the xe1 something that can be improved with a firmware update, or is it something that is inherent in the hardware configuration? It is perhaps the only thing about the cameras usability that irritates me.
loren_cain
I'm not sure if it can be corrected by a firmware update, but I do know the lag seems to go away while the shutter button is held down halfway. I'm not sure why, but I have observed the same thing in other mirrorless cameras (most recently a Nikon V2 I was playing with in a camera store).
jimsimmons
Interesting, Loren. I'll check that out at the camera store. I wonder if, once the focus and exposure are computed, there's no further processing to slow down the display?
