jamespjones
I'm trying out the DXO Pro trial and I was very excited at the prospect of having a lens corrector that would allow me to output a DNG to modify in ACR. The goal is to have the lens correction done automatically as a batch and then do the real RAW work in something else. However, I have found that when I run DXO I am losing the +2EV of headroom that the images had before they are converted to DNG. This isn't an inherent problem with DNG because Adobe puts out a DNG converter (recommend to use in LINEAR mode for the S5, just like the DXO DNG converter) that works fine and retains the data from _RAF to RAW.
Rather than have to go through every iteration, I want to cut to the chase. Is this a DXO DNG conversion problem that I will not overcome? Is there some setting that will prevent the clipping besides a universal -2EV exposure compensation?
Much appreciated.
