phule
With only 5000 units being produced, I can't imagine it's going to be easy to come by or afford.
ellis_vener_photography
It is interestign is that Fuji, which makes great lenses apparently is not using a Fujinon lens in this lens.
vinny_walsh
This was announced last year and has been discussed in length on apug.org as well. The Japanese version (GF670) has a fujinon lens. Outside of Japan it'll be the Bessa III 667. There was a waiting list you could sign up for here: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64253 I don't know how valid it is or if there are more than one waiting lists.
vinny
ned1
Wasn't the Heliar lens the viewing lens in the Voigtlander versions of Rollei TLRs? Why not the Xenotar, which was the shooting lens? Or am I mistaken?

bobar57
Some answers.Vinny,as you can see Cosina Voigtlander cameras official dealers in the U.S. are only two( http://www.cosina.co.jp/kaigai/index.html) ,and one of them is Camera Quest(http://www.cameraquest.com/), the one mentioned in your link,so yes, it is a valid waiting list,as this moment it will be accepting your names only, when the price is announced then deposits and final confirmation on waiting list will be done,as I understand, and if there if another waiting list I expect to be from the other dealer. The camera in question will be marketed outside Japan as Bessa III 667(Voigtlander),inside Japan as a Fuji,as mentioned in an earlier post. The reason that it does not have a Fujinon lens is because is made by Cosina Voigtlander(good lenses by the way) .There are the specs of the camera( http://www.voigtlaender.de/cms/voigtlaender/voigtlaender_cms.nsf/id/pa_fdih7jzkae.html),the rumors are that the price will be between 1000.00 and 2400.00 dollars, still rumors. The official price has not been disclosed or decided,I don't know.
RA

ned1
Damn but that's pretty, although a slightly wider lens would be nice. I hope it's more than a grand because if it isn't I may just be suckered into buying one.
mark_satola1
"I hope it's more than a grand because if it isn't I may just be suckered into buying one."
I hear that. I don't need to spend more money on cameras. It would be fun to give it a test run, though. Sure is a pretty li'l thing in general, and as much as I love my old folders, how nice would it be to have the folder meme in a brand new unit? Very nice, I think.
