Free version of PhotoDirector available

Recommended Posts

<p>For a limited time, there is a giveaway of Cyberlink PhotoDirector 5: http://www.windowsdeal.com/w/cyberlink-photodirector-5-100-discount/ . Available for Windows and Mac.<br>

I have no experience, but review suggest it is a quite competent and complete program; from screenshots it is quite obvious it took a lot of inspiration from Lightroom. For those searching for a tool to organise and edit their photos, it might be worth checking out this offer, which will expire in 1,5 day.</p>

<p>"How can I get a 2nd program from windowsdeal without creating / sacrificing a new email adress?"</p>

<p>It's easier to set up another email account. I use my ancient Hotmail account for stuff like this since it handles spam pretty well.<br>

Some freebie and discounted programs allow installation on two machines, so check the makers' websites.</p>

Okay, tried it on my laptop. Good freebie but

won't replace Lightroom for my preferences.

PhotoDirector 5 will recognize Fuji RAFs, but not

gracefully, so it won't replace Lightroom, Photo

Ninja or SilkyPix for me.

I might be able to use some of the specialty

editing tools, such as content aware removal. But

it won't replace Lightroom as my main photo

handling tool.

But I may try the trial version of Photo Director

6 on my desktop to see what's improved.
