colleendonovan
Hi everybody! I heard of this cool site on another forum and wanted to share with you guys here.
ATNcentral.com
They have a lot of really col actions that you can download for PS. Have fun!!
anner
I've seen the midnight sepia used quite a bit- very popular. Here's a sample with that action applied.. (I think this is the second version of the action).

Another one I've heard a lot about is the Dragon effect.. but I haven't tried it myself. There are lots of great borders, sharpening tools, and other things. I hope the list grows!
anner
I forgot that to really understand an action you need to see the original too ;-) So, here it is. I love this image because it's a completely candid moment of the bride looking down at her shoes, but the framing makes it appear like it was posed.

colleendonovan
Ooh... I like that! I've tried the dragon effect on a few images, but haven't saved one yet. So much to do, so little time!!
stacy
Thanks for sharing Colleen- here's my first try at with the "acid" effect and the custom vingette. Ok- it's a bit over the top but still fun...

latham_portous
Colleen, do you somehow install these downloads into photoshop or is it a file you read and sort of do it yourself? Thanks.
colleendonovan
You download the action and then open the folder. Then you copy the action to the right file. For PSCS its C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS\Presets\Photoshop Actions. Or I put the file on my desktop, open PS and then drag the file into the Actions palette thingy. Oh my goodness! Someone please help! I know how to do it, but I can't explain anything to save my life!!!
todd1664878707
Colleen, you're right. It took me a little while to figure out how to save them, but first I unzipped the file to my desktop. I opened up Photoshop, and pulled Photoshop to the side so I could see my Desktop and the Actions pallete at the same time. Then I dragged the action from the Desktop to the Actions pallete. Inside the Actions pallete, I created a new folder to put all the new actions in. Then I just dragged the actions I added into the new folder I created. heller_harris
You can load the actions from within PS. Go to the Actions Palette. Click the Arrow in the upper right-hand corner. Scroll down to "Load", locate the files and click.
