You confirm the text portion of your post first, then you'll see the option to attach a photo. Some folks do use HTML to embed photos in their posts. As long as it's restrained I don't object in the forums I help moderate, but occasionally someone will abuse the HTML to embed oversized photos that force side-scrolling or to create a one-person gallery within what should be a discussion, not a monologue.
