Followup on broken Canon A60

A while back I posted a message regarding my son's Canon A60 which

had been damaged but was under warranty, and I asked if anyone had

any experience with Canon service under these conditions.

I did send the camera back explaining that the lens would not retact

but that the camera had probably suffered some sort of impact damage

at the battery door and that we expected to pay for, at the very

least, some portion of the repair, and I asked for an estimate of

the charges to be emailed to me. Well, Canon completely repaired the

camera and Fedexd the camara back in about a week...at no charge!

How about that for service? Just thought I'd pass that along. Has

anyone else had a similar experience with Canon?
