acoba
Can I use my SB600 as a slave speedlight with the D3200?
ShunCheung
The SB-600 can be a slave, but you need a master on the D3200 to control that slave. The D3200's pop-up flash cannot be the Nikon Creative Lighting System master.
simon_hickie1
An SB800, however, could act as a commander (as could an SB900, SB910 or even SB700).
rodeo_joe1
Easiest (and cheapest) way to get off camera flash with this combo is to use a TTL compatible hotshoe extender cable. YongNuo make an extender cord in two lengths. Model SC-28A (1 metre) and SC-28B (3 metres). They cost around $18 to $25 and are well-made with a metal hotshoe plate and locking lever.

kohanmike
You could also get the SU-800 Commander, which sits in the hot shoe and only controls remote strobes, does not flash itself. Less expensive than an SB-800. I use it with three SB-600 strobes.
