flash for olympus pen 2

I got the FL-36R for my E-P1, and I think it works pretty well, enough power to bounce in normal situations, FEC for using it for fill if you decide to.

The only drawback that I can think of is that on my E-P1 the AF assist lamp does not work...so no focusing in total darkness if you're relying solely on the flash for your light (only happened once, how often do you shoot in total darkness anyway?).

Marc:
However, from the specs published by Metz, the one downsize of the Metz 48/50 (Metz 48 has been replaced by the 50) is that Metz 48/50 is the flash is so much bigger than the camera. The size isn't an issue to me on the E-3, but for the Pen I prefer something smaller, unless I'm going with a bracket.

The Metz 48/50 does have one of the fastest recharge times (3 seconds), and the FL-36 has one of the slowest (8 seconds) in case you want/need to go into paparazzi mode. The two flashes are about the same cost ($224 for the Metz, $199 for the FL-36 at B&H)
