First real paid job...and she cried : (

Well today was my first real paid job by anyone other than family and boy was

it a challenge. I was taking pics of a 2 year old little girl who was soooooo

hyper. Full of Life. It was great for candids but no real posed pics other

than a few at the very beginning. Here is a link to the album. Let me know

what you think. I kept the pics in of her crying... thought they added

The most important opinion is that of the parents. Your biggest problem here was chasing the kid around back lit or in the shade.

These are good pictures, I know what it is like to chase my 3 year old grandson for a picture. At least you have some with her smiling. I really think you did a good job. Myself I'll work with flowers, landscapes and insects.

a little fill, either flash or assistant bounced (photoflex type, etc.), would have gone a long way here. The timing is good, but the light would have benefited from a kick.

You just have to herd them into the open shade and let 'em go. If they have a crying spell, put your camera down and let it pass.

Pay huge attention to the lighting.

I guess I should make it clear that I did not make her cry! I agree with the lighting. The area that I chose would have worked good but she went on a running spree... It was fun though!
