First NBA Game

  1. Got to sneak in my D800 and 70-200 2.8 into the Sacramento Kings game last weekend. There are a couple of shots in my gallery. Not sure how to post a direct link in this post :-(
  2. Some great action shots there Joe. The 70-200 was about right. One of the nice things about every game being televised is that lighting on the court (or on an ice surface for hockey) is sufficient to freeze the action.
  3. Thanks David! Nice auto racing shots in your stream!
  4. nice shots Joe, looks like you had good seats (considerably), if you don't mind me asking, I saw grains in your pics and I know you did crop, what ISO were you using? I run into the same problem with my 60D at the 3200 borders in such lighting conditions. Thanks ...
  5. Hi John: The ISO was 2500 in most shots and they were indeed heavily cropped.
  6. Thank you Joe - it would be great to see more discussions about sport shooting again on P.Net. Glad you posted.
  7. I agree David. We can all learn from each other's experiences. I was really debating between taking my Nikkor 24-70 2.8 instead of the 70-200 2.8 but decided in favor of the latter as I knew I would shoot from near courtside (1 row back) and also from a suite that is on the first deck. I am just glad security let me take the long lens inside...that would never happen at a NFL stadium.
