film speed for ilfotec dd

Recommended Posts

I'm not familiar with this particular developer, but a reasonably

exhaustive info sheet for it can be found at the Ilford UK website:

Note that there is Ilfotec DD and Ilfotech DD-X. I had a quick look

at the former, and it does have a page in the PDF about processsing

specific films at stated Exposure Indices. It was a couple of pages

in.

ILFOTEC DD will give pretty much normal film speeds. It is an all

purpose developer for use in dip & dunk machines.

ILFOTEC DD-X is a similar developer, but because it is for one-shot

use, it is a little more active. It will tend to give a slight

increase in film speed, usually about 1/3 stop.
