Film or back for Polaroid 900 Electric Eye Land Camera?

A friend of mine recently purchased a Polaroid 900 EE Land Camera in

working condition. However, there is no manual and we cannot figure

out what sort of film to use with the standard back that came with it.

Is such film even available? I assume it's 4x5" film loaded into paper

sheets (from the looks of the back). If the the film that was used

with this camera is no longer available, is there any way to purchase

a back that will fit on this camera and that uses a currently

available film type? Thanks.

The format on that camera is 3x4, 4 designs and many others convert those to the modern 3x4 pack films but the lens is very slow and not a professional lens.

Another option you may consider is to buy a 110a , b or 120 which have a professional type lens for 50-150 or so and then its worth while doing it.

I do not offer those services but many photo.net members do.

You can buy those cameras on ebay.

thank you

I just unpacked a mint condition (in the case and still in the box!!) 900, with everything included, including the original "brochure". This was one of the first ones made. If you wish a scanned copy of the manual let me know, I can email it. Mine even has a few flash bulbs and some film left in it but after how many ever decades, the film is no good.

ps- shutter speed on the 900 is 1/12 to 1/600 with manual or AE option- it actually has a faster shutter than the 1/300 of the 110a/b series
