stephen_curran1
I am using Mamiya 645pro and have only 220 film inserts, can anyone tell me if I use 120 film will I be harming the camera?
hakon_soreide
you won't be harming the camera, but you will get shots that can be slightly out of focus.
The thickness of 120 and 220 film are different due to the paper backing on 120 that isn't on 220, therefore the very critical exact distance from lens to film plane will be a bit off if you use 120 film in your 220 holders.
I guess it would be possible to compensate for this when focusing, but I think I'd have found it easier to get some 120 film holders... adrienne_moumin1
There's a 120 insert on ebay for $5.50, ending in a couple of hours, plus another one for 99 cents ending in 5 days. Go for it!
