coneected
Can a Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D ED Lens be used on a Nikon N90s camera body? I am seeking a fast zoom and have come to terms with the cost of such an item, but wonder if they will be totally compatible.
Dieter Schaefer
That particular lens works with the N90S with no restrictions. On the N90, VR doesn't work; AF-S is fine. G lenses are limited to shutter priority and program mode.
Michael R Freeman
As Dieter noted, 100% compatible with the N90s. Works in all exposure modes, all metering modes, and all autofocus modes without restrictions.

The N90(s) was actually the first Nikon camera to use the 3D metering technology provided by the (then) new AF-D lenses with Distance encoding CPUs.
