Film Camera Week for September 20

Recommended Posts

Greetings all and welcome to our new thread. Post all the images you like from any film camera. I recently shot a roll of Ilford FP4+ in my 8000i with Maxxum 35-105 f 3.5-4.5 so I'll start with some scans from that roll,

Rick- great work the the Bronica. Also, you have dialed in the technique for getting the most from TMAX 400.

Regarding the Maxxum 35-105, I don't use it as much as I should. Many years back when I still did wedding photography, I'd take along two Maxxum 8000i's - one with the 35-105 and the other with a Maxxum 28-85. A pair of Sunpak AP52 flashes completed the outfit. The 8000i has a PC outlet so the standard PC cord was all I ever used. One of the 8000i's developed a problem in which it would unexpectedly rewind the film, sometimes after only one or two frames. The other 8000i, though is still going strong.

Thanks, Mike.I've certainly developed a liking for the T-Max, though it does lack a little of the "character" of conventional emulsions. Still, it's probably the sharpest and most fine-grained film in the 400 ISO range that I've used, and the tonal range in the Pyro developer is exceptional.

I shot a roll of Arista EDU Ultra 100 through the Chinon CM-4 I pictured over in the "What camera..." thread. I enjoyed using such an uncomplicated camera, and the Chinon 50/1.9 lens performed very well. After all, Chinon and Cosina between them made a vast array of lenses and cameras for other manufacturers in the hey-day of the SLR camera; while the quality varied a little, often according to price, at their best they were very good indeed. The film was developed in PMK Pyro.
