Film Camera Week for November 15

Recommended Posts

Greetings all and welcome to our new thread. Post all the images you want from any film camera. I'll start with some images from my Yashica FX-3 Super 2000 that I processed and scanned earlier in the week. Film was Ilford FP4+ processed in HC110 dilution H.

I'll admit the 24mm lens was not the best choice for the above photo, but it was what I had with me.

With the pancake 45mm lens attached the FX-3 will fit in a jacket pocket.

All for now. Looking forward to seeing everyone's images.

Great shots already Mike and Graham.

Young Prince Bernard (re-enacted) at the 75th Anniversary of the liberation of the city of Tilburg,

And a Korean War Dutch Detachment United Nation soldier (like-wise re-enacted)

Both taken with my Anniversary Speed Graphic, 127mm f/4.7 Ektar, Foma Retropan 320 Soft (@E.I.200) in a Graphic 23 roll film adapter

Still not a fan of this film, in any format

We're off to a great start! Here are some from a newly-acquired Minolta Alpha 807si, a camera I'm still getting to grips with but which potentially could be included in the "favourites" list. The lens was a Minolta 35-70mm f/4, and the film was Arista EDU Ultra 200 developed in PMK Pyro.

Nice results from the Agat 18K M42Dave. I should run some film through mine. Do you do anything to guard against possible light leaks? I hear people tape up seam between the two halves of the camera.

Also, "When's a door, not a door? ....When it's ajar"

Thanks, Rick. Actually, I haven't had any issues with the body seam. I did put a little LED squeeze light inside to check for light leaks, and sealed under the rewind crank and behind the shutter release button with some foam. Also sealed a few spots inside with a bit of black silicone. There's a good disassembly guide here:

Also installed some black telescope flocking inside the film chamber, which helps reduce reflections and improve contrast.

Cheers, I'll have a look at that before I will load mine up.

Meanwhile, here's a couple of frames I've saved from a roll I shot with a Clarus MS-35, that turned out to have an erratic shutter. Mainly trouble with capping on 1/100th of a second. (which has been fixed now)

Snow came early to SE Michigan, and I was out shooting with a recently acquired No.2 Brownie model E this past Monday. I used Tri-X which may have been a mistake given the problems I had with light leaks, however it was appropriate for the given amount of light. I was happy to have pulled this exposure off the roll, as it turned out quite well without any noticeable light leakage.
