The Phoenix lens (also sold as a Vivitar) was a good performing, but inexpensive macro offering during the 1990's. One more from this lens.

great people lens, used wide open at f3.5

Another from the Yashica, but with still another lens

For a modern film camera, one from the Konica A4, which was Konica's entry into the single focal length, compact autofocus point & shoot.

One more from the Konica A4. My wife gave me the A4 for Christmas in 1990. I read about in Popular Photography and wanted one. My wife got my dad to order one (we still had the family camera shop and a Konica dealership). I don't know which compact AF was first (as Samsung had one), but others were also available (like the Yashica T4, Olympus Stylus, etc) I think Leica even had one that was based on Minolta's offering.

My avatar, a Zenit 3M with the Mir-1 2.8/37A, a rare version of the Mir wide-angle lens with interchangeable mounts (this one in M39). It also featured close focusing to 0.24m and a spring-loaded aperture return button.

Took out the Voigtlander Bessa I for a run. Has the very unappreciated Vaska 105/4.5, but I find it does give a rather "old worldly" image. Acros/Rodinal 1 Hr. Semi-stand.

From the Marina area,

FREQUENT MARINA VIEW, BUT WITH BESSA EFFECT.

Great shots, everyone. @Bill- if you don't have the 45mm f2 MD Rokkor-X lens for your XG-1, you should pick one up. With that lens attached XG series, X series, and XD series Minoltas will fit in a jacket pocket. My 45mm lens spends most of its time on my XD-5 for the same reason. Edited by Mike Gammill

I'm still trialing the 120 Bergger Pancro400, and I loaded a roll into a Pentax 6x7 and played around with the super wide 35mm SMC Takumar f/4.5 lens. Development was in PMK Pyro. If the weather remains kind I'll try to post some more offerings over the weekend.

Mike - I've got the same lillies in my yard - not seen them elsewhere. The locals called them skunk lillies.

James - Noxubee shot is superb. 'Low key but delicious tones. The Corn shot is delightfully crisp - like the Noxubee.

Bill, the yard/chord and veggie shots are sweet. 'Heard good things about that Obsidian Aqua. 'Looks a little exotic, maybe demanding on metering a dilution - w/ the recommended 1ml pipette.

Rick, those are just nasty crisp & wonderful tones (sigh) as usual. Locomotive shot is particularly good. That wide lens looks like a hoot.

Erko - the portrait & cat shots are wonderful. Wide glass? 24mm? The std. 50 won't focus that close on my 1.8 Ais.
