Fast food in Columbus, Maxxum 8000i with Maxxum 100-200 f 4.5

The Maxxum and 100-200 were pictured on the "What Camera are you using this Weekend" thread. Although I have the well-regarded Maxxum 100-300 f 4.5-5.6,I like the compact size of the 100-200 for most uses. It doesn't have close focusing, but maximum aperture is constant., It's a first generation Maxxum lens (like the 70-210 f 4, aka the beercan). I've heard the 100-200 referred to as the "mini beercan".

I don't take a lot of flash photos, but the compact little 2000i flash is a nice traveling companion and it's dark red AF illuminater works well. Wasn't sure if the 100-200 was long enough to block some of the light, but apparently not a problem. With slower film I can do fill flash outside since the 8000i x-sync is 1/200 second.

Remus enjoying the afternoon, Maxxum 8000i, 100-200, 2000i flash. Depth of field at f 8 and lens set close to 200mm is shallow

Looking forward to seeing everyone/s images this week.

A great start to the thread! It's dark and wintry down here in New Zealand but I managed to shoot off some Arista EDU 100 with a Canon T90 fitted with a newly-acquired 35-135mm Kiron f/3.5-4.5 lens. The film was developed in PMK Pyro and scanned on a Epson V700 using Silverfast SE software.
