rick_drawbridge
Here are some frames from a walkabout with a Canon T90 fitted with a 50mm Canon FD SSC f/1.4 lens. The film was Ilford FP4 Plus developed in PMK Pyro. I think the first image serves to demonstrate the very wide range of tones this film/developer combination is capable of preserving. rick_drawbridge
We're in the middle of our annual "Cruise Martinborough" event, four days of festivities celebrating mainly American cars from the mid 20th century. I'm working mainly in colour but I thought I'd try to shoot a couple of rolls of B&W so I could post a few pics on the forum. When it's all over ( and if I survive the festivities) I might try to post another selection, as I know there are a few car enthusiasts among our members. These were shot on the first orientation morning using a Canon T90 and the very handy Tamron Adaptall II 35-70mm CF Macro f/3.5. The film was Arista EDU Ultra 100 developed in PMK Pyro; I haven't used this film for a while as I'd experienced a few quality control issues, but I opened a batch I'd had in the fridge for about 18 months and it seems just fine. It's actually sharper and finer-grained than I remember, getting close to Pan-F 50 in quality. See what you think. 59 Chevrolet Hearse 59 Chevrolet Hearse (rear) 56 Chevrolet 56 Fairlane Victoria

Mike Gammill
To add some more to our weekly thread I've got a few from my Konica Auto S2, which was the first 35mm camera I bought. Still works great except the counter only resets to 30 when back is opened. overcast day in Starkville, Plus-X Plus-X and similar ISO film is usually all the Konica and other rangefinders with fast lenses usually need. manual exposure, probably around 1/15 second wide open at f 1.8 Remaining photos done in auto mode (shutter priority) more from Starkville area, shutter speed likely at 1/125 second new buildings continue to increase One more Ominous clouds on north horizon
chuck_foreman1
I haven't posted in quite a while. The reasons are multiple but frankly most of my results have been piss poor and I have been frustrated wit it all as well as there just hasn't been a whole lot of sun here in western Europe this season. I know one can make fine exposures in overcast skies etc, but I'm inspired only by strong bright sun and hard shadows. Last weekend there was some periods of sunlight and I went out armed with a Yashica FXD and the 72-75mm ML zoom. Thiscamera seems to have a strange intermittent light meter. Also I used the ZI Contessa S310. I've had mixed results with this in the past and I continue to have mixed results. This camera has a 40mm Tessar. I like this moderate wide angle very much. It basically can only be used in Auto, and the the meter in the viewfinder is wacky and barely ever reacts consistently although the previous two rolls for the most part I got reasonable exposures . This time around maybe the sub zero temperatures played a role and I got five or six black frames as well as unpredictable results. So the lack of consistency continues to follow me like a curse. I am envious of so many of you.. My two rolls were developed in D76 and I'm using Agfa APX100/Kentmere. BTW I haven't tweaked anything here. This is the basic scan. I'll try to note which shots were with which camera. Mike Gammill
Nice work, Chuck. That 42-75 is a great little zoom. In general, the ML series lenses are good performers and usually reasonably priced.

chuck_foreman1
Thanks for the kind words I too find the ML series quite good. I would like to find a 24mm .....but they are hard to come by cheaply...that is relative of course. The FXD here whenever I pick it up and compare with other meters/cameras it's often 2 to 3 stops off, but when I get it outside it seems to breathe the fresh air and start to behave. I would say generally I over exposed the whole roll. I was playing with the ASA/DIN and comparing to my hand held meter... I now think I should've just left it to it's own meter.
