Film Camera Week for January 18

Recommended Posts

I found time to get out this afternoon with a Canon T90 fitted with the Canon FD 35-70mm f/4 lens. I was given this lens some time ago but never got around to using it until now; it doesn't get a lot of good press and it's certainly one of the oddest-looking lens Canon ever made, an absolute beer can in configuration. However, I'm impressed. It's pretty sharp at all apertures and almost free from distortions, a feature I really like. I might take it out again tomorrow...

The film was Kentmere 100, developed in Bergger PMK Pyro.

Great work, Stuart. It's interesting to compare the harsh sunlight in my preceding series with the misty light in yours; I much prefer your light, for photography at least!

Thanks Rick. The mist saves the day, but most of the time, it’s just flat grey without the mist. I walk the dog really early, so low light whatever, wide open at speeds just about hand - holdable when grey. Grain like golf balls. Your scans always look fantastic, do you mind if Inask what your process is?
