Last two in series of photos taken over the winter with the FED 50, Ilford FP4+, medium yellow filter.

That's all for now. I have two rolls of color to send to Dwayne's Photo, but they are temporarily closed until May 4 due to state order.

I recently acquired a very tidy example of the old 70-150mm Vivitar Macro Focusing Zoom f/3.8, manufactured by the illustrious Kino Optical company. I have a small collection of Kino-built lenses and most of them perform well above their original price-point, and this very small zoom is no exception. In fact, it's probably the best medium zoom I've used, and the 20 bucks I outlaid have never been better spent. Here are some samples; the lens was fitted to a Pentax ME Super and the film was Arista EDU Ultra 200 developed in Pyrocat HD.

Rick- I once had the one touch version of the Vivitar 70-150. Great little lens. I sold mine after I got a Minolta 35-135 MD and didn't think I needed the extra 15mm. However, sold it to a high school classmate of mine who was getting started in photography, I sold it with a Minolta XG-7 which I replaced with an X-700. I don't know about the one touch 70-150, but the two touch version accepted a special tele converter that was optimized to perform with that lens. I think it was called a matched multiplier. When Popular Photography (or Modern) tested it I think they found it performed better than the typical four element converter, but the premium 7 element ones were a bit better.

I didn't realize Dwayne's was temporarily closed. I have three rolls that I just sent them.

For anyone who uses mail-in processing, it's probably a good idea to check the company's web site beforehand, since shutdown restrictions vary by state. Blue Moon Camera in Oregon says that their photo lab is currently open, though I haven't used their services before.

Here are some from the Wester Autorol folding camera I pictured in the "What camera..." thread last weekend. It's no Hasselblad, probably the equivalent of one of the better Agfa Isolettes, but the 75mm Wescon f/3.5 lens is a reasonable performer stopped down to f/5.6 and beyond. The film was Arista EDU Ultra 200 developed in Pyrocat HD.
