Feedback: Search by forum?

I would find it very useful if it were possible to restrict searches

to individual (or checkbox-selected) forums. Failing that, it would be

useful if search results were colored, as in the Unified Forum, so

that one can immediately see in which forums search results reside.

 

Also, a question: Why do you have two pages listing the forums? I see

forums listed at both <http://www.photo.net/bboard> and

<http://www.photo.net/community/forums>

I agree! Check box selection would be great. I asked a <a href=http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=003PzX>similar question</a> some time ago but received no answer. I suspect my request wasn't clear enough.

I agree that this is a good addition to the search function.

This is not an answer but more a question...

can you please tell me, if you know, how to make a more advanced search in these forums? What i mean is, that if i want to find only the posts, were it appears as an example: slik pro 340Dx, but not just one of them...

I have tried using "" and also using "+" or "AND" between the words but no way...

Do you have any advice?

Brian, what do you mean by "is"? Maybe you mean the check box alowing to decide between articles, forums, etc, but I, and I believe Bailey also, mean being able to search individual forums. For exemple, searching only the nature forum.

 

Just the ability to turn off the critique forum would be great.
