Kent Shafer
Terrific pictures. And, somehow, "GBOOM" seems particularly appropriate for them.
JDMvW
I, for one, am very appreciative.

And I always like to see Jaap.
Kent Shafer
Just to be clear, I really like the pictures.

I thought "GBOOM" was somewhat humorous in this context in being suggestive of the sound made by a rifle or artillery piece. Maybe not so much.
Rick_van_Nooij
The GBOOM is a conical shaped screw-in "L" filter...I did over expose the pictures by almost half a stop, but it should not have been necessary.
Kent Shafer
Oh, good!

I also have a IIIc and Summitar but no GBOOM. Just a GCOOL (Y2).
tony_lockerbie
Great stuff again Rick, and nice to see an original in that group, and the girl who is swooning...probably from being exposed to so many film cameras.
The Summitar is a wonderful quality lens that is hard to find without haze or scrathces.
James G. Dainis
Note from Moderator: Is this thread appropriate for this forum? Since the moderator didn't delete it, the answer is obvious. Were some comments made in responses inappropriate for this forum? Since those comments have been deleted the answer, again, is obvious. This is a friendly forum; the moderator will keep it so by not allowing personal bickering. I see nothing wrong with displaying the results taken with a Leica IIIc (1942) camera and Leitz 50mm f/2 Summitar, Epson R-D1 or Argus C-44. The photos taken with those classic camera are very nice and more interesting than some water tower. Edit note: "water tower" was meant to be humorous. James G. Mike Gammill
Thanks for sharing, Rick. While I liked all the photos, my favorite was "Hurry Up and Wait".

craig_shearman1
What can you tell us about the Bell and Howell movie camera on the table in that last shot? Appears to be a 16mm Filmo 70 series. Were you shooting movie film as well or did that belong to somebody else?
Rick_van_Nooij
Thanks all,

Craig, the Filmo is one of mine. It's actually got a 1950s Signal Corps data tag on it ("PH-340-B"). I think it's a 70DL, with motor/crank drive hole. But it hasn't got the option for the extended Mickey Mouse Ears magazines.

The lenses aren't military spec (Military ones are black) . I've bought those over the last two years to complete the set.
It's mainly a display piece as shooting and developing film (and having it digitized for you guys) would be too costly.

Lenses are:
- 1 inch f/2.5 Bell & Howell Ansix lens
- 3 inch f/4 Wollensak Raptar lens
- 6 inch f/4.5 Bell & Howell Telate lens
