ulrich_brandl
Aurora is a Korean brand making monolights. They seem to well built (Aluminium alloy case, fan cooling, electronic flash power stabilisation, auto discharge)and priced just in the middle of well established brands and el-cheapo chinaware. Has anyone practical experience with these products ?
pujo
I don't have experience with their flash, but I am using octabox 140cm from bbobasi, which I import (ebay stuff) from korea. The build quality is good (just use it, so time will tell how strong it is). the meter from center to edge has 0.5 difference in f/stop. it comes with grid, so it saves me hundreds of dollars compare the hensel octabox. minde_minde
I have 3 aurora light bank products.150cm octabox, 80x100 softbox with grids.I am using it on elinchrom 400fx strobes. the quality of these products is amazing, they are realy well-made,very strong. It was a surprise for me that they were made in korea. I have practise with cheep chinese softboxes from ebay, I repleced it all with aurora. But I was dissapointed in aurora light bank light panel 180cm. built quality looks average, and I found it not very stable. if you want to shoot outdoors forget it.there are much better light panels on the market. speaking about monolights...I would't go with these..why? because I do not like to experiment with light
