rogerwb
In the promo clip for "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" there is a quick glimpse of a lady shooting with an Exakta VX. Of course, with the usual Hollywood inaccuracy, she is holding the waist level finder at eye level. No, the sportsfinder flap is not lowered.
ken_jeanette1
Was there a motor drive sound also. Gotta love Hollywood.
JDMvW
In its day, this was the SLR of choice.

In the Hitchcock movie Rear Window, an Exakta was the camera used (with a honking telephoto) by Jimmie Stewart ( http://static.photo.net/attachments/bboard/00V/00VBtt-198449684.jpg )

Kent Shafer
Here's a <a href=" to the trailer on YouTube. The Exakta moment is around the 1:40 point.
JDMvW
Thanks Kent.

The moment passes in a flash, but the kid is definitely looking through the closed sports finder on the Exakta.

You'd think film makers would be aware of photographic things, but obviously not.
Rob_the_waste
Was that supposed to be something like George W. looking through the binoculars with the lens caps on?
