Epson Fluid Mount Accessory (Fluids and Tape)

Just received the above from Epson, for my V750. I would appreciate help from

anyone on obtaining the fluid and mylar tape, in the UK if possible, and in

particular, the best fluid which doesn't damage the plastic parts!. I've heard

stories of certain fluids melting the plastic on the unit. Any useful hints

and tips on using the above would also be very much appreciated.

Fluid and mylars are the important bits, I don't use tape. In the USA the cost of the entire

ScanScience kit for the V7xx scanners including the height adjustable holder is lower than

what Aztek charges for their fluids, mylars, dispenser and tape kit alone.

Thanks Ellis. The likelihood is, that i'll buy the ScanScience kit in time, but I just wanted to give the Epson a go first. If I can't find the right fluids and mylar for the right price here in the UK, I might just go for it anyway. I see that the Scanscience is at $129 at the moment on a price hold, so I hope it doesn't increase by too much, too soon!.

I have no connection at all to ScanScience the company. I have the product as they ( which is

to say Julio Fernandez at ScanScience) sent me a kit to try when I was reviewing the Epson

V-750M for PPA's "Professional Photographer" magazine. I think that review is coming out

either this month or next. Remind me and I'll post a link when it's available.

I'm also interested in 'Mylar', but in sheets for use on a drum scanner.

Tried 'googling' here in the UK, but bugger all.

Any local source for the fluid and tape without having to order it...Austin or Houston. I have a customer who wants some today?
