EOS 10S flashing "ISO"

The LCD screen on my 10s constantly flashes "ISO." The film speed is correct, all Custom Functions are off. There's no bracketing happening as far as I can tell. What's up?

It's a long time since I used a 10s, but doesn't it do this if you

manually set ISO rather than use the automatic DX coding? I guess it's

to remind you you have overriden the automatic setting.

For the EOS 5 this means that the camera was not able to use the DX

coding and the camera set the ISO to the last roll of DX film sent

through it. I found this happening with several rolls of Velvia for

some reason. Fortunately, I was shooting the same speed, so when it

reverted to the last roll's speed it was the same as the current

rolls. I have not idea why this is, but I have not stared at my camera

yet to figure it out.

So, Flashing ISO means that you should check the ISO on the camera to

make sure it is the correct speed. If this is a persistent problem,

have the body checked out.
