awahlster
I'm looking for mechanical drawings that show the Canon EF mount I would need both sides. Anything with dimensions would be great.
I been the Bing and Google routes so far no luck.

bobatkins
I've never seen a detailed technical drawing with all the mechanical specifications of the EF series mount on it.

My best suggestion would be to remove the mount from a lens (fairly easy to do) and make your own measurements on it. I'm sure that's what all the 3rd party lens and adapter makers have done.

I'm sure that Canon does not publish the specification. Why make it easy for others to duplicate the design.
awahlster
Well I guess when I get an EF mount lens and body I can do the drawings myself. I'll search through the patent drawings.
john_macpherson
Buy a cheap extension tube and you'll get both front and rear mounts for pennies?
JDMvW
If you do end up doing some technical drawings, many of us would appreciate it if you would post them somewhere, even here.

Here's a drawing of a side view of the Canon mount from Tamron's instructions for their 90mm macro, but I don't imagine that this is of much use to you.
