DavidTriplett
Nasa's photos rule (they have the good stuff, and the BEST perch), but we definitely were in the right place, at the right time, and I made do with the stuff I have: I just drove in from our viewing location west of Rexburg, Idaho, so the following image is an unedited JPEG, just resized for posting here. I think I got some useful images, all in NEF raw format, but I have some PP to do before sharing. In the mean time, this will have to do. Note the prominances at 12:00, 1:00, and 3:00! Wow! What an experience!
DavidTriplett
Here's one more, still needing PP, but with hints of Bailey's Beads on the upper-right quadrant.
Sandy Vongries
Super shots David -- actually very impressed with many shots here on PN. Saw the article and thought it might be interesting, and even offer a "best practice" yardstick. Except for my "Hat trick" and a basic camera obscura, I didn't even try. The best shots here are 'bout as good as it gets from the planet. :)
GerrySiegel
I dare say that the convergence of sun and moon was well recorded and need no post processing I can see. You nailed it.
DavidTriplett
OK, this is the first PP version from my set. This is called the "Diamond Ring Effect": Nikon D7100, Tamron 105-600mm/5-6.3, solar filter, processed in LR5.
