al_kaplan1
Has anybody experimented with Eastman Double-X motion picture film lately? I used it back in the 1970's. It had an interesting feel and tonality to it. Also it was cheap. There were places that sold motion picture ends. (What's left in the magazine when they remove the spool of exposed stuff, the other spool of 400' or 1200' often still has a hundred or more feet of unexposed stock) Back then I'd pay 2.5 cents a foot ($2.50 per hundred) when bulk Tri-X was maybe $12 or $15 a hundred. I'm starting to think that there are some pictures that I want to do with that "feel", and the last factory loaded film that had it that I knew of was Ilford HP3. Any info on sources and experiences appreciated. Thanks.
