michael_alger
My DxO 6.1.2 which I am using with the D700 (that's why I post this here) always chrashes after the same action, when having cropped a picture with the "keep aspect ratio as original" by any amount. It comes up with an error message like "saved dump file". I dumped this file to the DxO support several times but with no avail.
Is the DxO support clueless?
Does DxO have a real problem others also have had?
Will here eventually be a solution or can I give up on DxO and get something that actually woks?
Is there anybody out there from DxO-labs who intends to look at the files and actually solve the problem?

robert_hooper1
Have you gone to this DxO Support page for help? I would try the "Forum".
Jerry_
If you are shooting .NEF (RAW) images, you might look into Nikon Capture NX2.

If you shoot .jpg images, Photoshop Elements, or the more-costly Photoshop software, will work.

Dx0 6.1.2 is on a MAC?
elliot1
Upgrade to 6.2 and see if that does not correct the problem. If this does not resolve the issue, refrain from using the cropping tool until it is resolved with other updates.

How did you contact DXO support?
jan_deiman1
I use DXO 6.2 Elite on my Macintosh, System version 10.6.3, with D700 NEF files. I did exactly what you describe and it works normally.
hans_janssen
I had always an answer from DxO in a day.
andre_noble5
Whos uses DxO for cropping?

DxO is for noise reduction, automatic lens distortion correction, and camera-lens specific global color correction and sharpening.

Use Photoshop for cropping.
michael_alger
Now that I have version 6.2, it works again. Aparently they had a bug and solved it.
