falcon7
I did a search of photo.net looking for recommendations for a DVD on lighting. I found the same question posed in 2004, but it had no responses. Perhaps 7 years later, things may have changed. Is there a instructional DVD that provides good information and is well-produced on general studio lighting and/or using artificial light outdoors? I know that there's a DVD with Nikon in the title (don't know if Nikon produced it) but it seems dedicated to Nikon's speedlight system. With youtube tutorials, I realize that there may not be much of a market for this sort of DVD, but it would be nice to have lighting tutorials all in one place. An alternative would be a book that comes with an accompanying dvd or cd. Thanks.
hjoseph7
Studio Lighting Essentials, by Mark Wallace is certainly not for begginers. I would say it's more for intermediate photographers, or begginers who have had some lighting experience. There is not much here about outdoor lighting: http://studiolightingessentials.com/
