Durst Acetate Filters

Recommended Posts

Hi all: I hope that this is a spot that I can ask a question about material viability. I have a package of 3" x 3" Durst Kodak Color Printing Acetate Filters. I have a bunch with what looks like moisture between the glass. Are the usable as they are? I suspect its fungus but if there is value Then I can sell them because that's how I pay the bills. Auctions, garage sales etc.I tried to insert a photo. I hope it works. I will be grateful for some help. Thanks.

Acetate filters fade over time regardless, whether they're stored in the dark or otherwise.

The filter above has obviously been badly stored.

You have several issues getting money from CP filters these days.

  • Hardly anyone darkroom prints any more.
  • Even fewer people print colour negatives.
  • Those handful that do will most likely be using an enlarger with a dichroic filter head.

Is it worth your trouble for the few $ they're worth?
