sattler123
I just got my new Laptop running MS Vista. I loaded the Canon software for the 40D and PS3. I then updated both PS and the Canon software with the latest software. Here is my problem now: When in DPP I used to select a single raw image, adjust it and then use ALT+P to transfer it over to PS3 (on my desktop running XT it still works with the same updates installed). The same DPP running on Vista does not allow that option anymore (it is bleached out in the Tool menu in DPP). Has anybody experienced this same issue? I called Canon support, but they had no idea what could cause this and they gave up.
rainer_t
From DPP version 3.2.0.4 helptext: -- "Transferring One Image to Photoshop ... This function is not compatible with Windows Vista."
wdgodwin
It is a DPP Vista OS problem. The Tranfer to Photoshop feature with the Vista OS is not an option at his time. Perhaps the next DPP release or patch hopefully will fix this. I stumbled across this in May 2007 and Canon said the current DPP version would not work in Vista. sattler123
Thanks to both of you. I wonder why the two guys at Canon support didn't know this! Hopefully the next upgrade of DPP will fix it. I like DPP for RAW conversions.
