Guys, Sorry, I checked the back postings and couldn't find the answer to this... Does VR work in both Landscape and Portrait orientation of the camera? For some reason I thought it only functions in Landscape. Thanks - sorry if a repeat Q. M
Assuming that its the same as Canon's IS system, it compensates for movement on both the X and Y axis, meaning yes, it will work in portrait orientation.
It works just fine. I believe the only exception is when panning. I recall reading that the panning detector only works with the camera horizontal. If you pan with the camera vertical, the VR motion may get jerky.
