declark Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 I've been looking for one of the original diopters (I need a -3) for an F3HP, but they seem to be elusive on the used market. I do see that some sellers on the big auction site sell a DK-17C as being compatible with the F3HP, D2H(s), D2X(s) F6, and the new Nikon D3. Wondering if anyone has actually used on on an F3HP and does it screw into the same threads? I may just buy one anyway and try it, but I'd rather ask than have to return it. User_276104 Posted February 4, 2008 Share Posted February 4, 2008 Yes, this eyepiece will thread onto an F3HP. The thing that is different about it from the old ones is that it sort of "ratchets" onto the finders of the new cameras, so that it cannot come off when the eyepiece shutter is open.
