Does anyone need a second shooter??

I live in Oregon and was wondering if there was any photographers that would

like a second shooter.. I really just want the experience. I don't know if any

of you are from Oregon or not but I would love the chance to work with you.

Maybe get to know some stuff before I dive in and try to do it by myself. Any

help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you called all the photogs in your area?

Other options... Getting published gives some credibility.

I started doing work for a weekly newspaper and got a second shooting gig that way.

Alot of organizations hold events in many of the same places you will shoot wedding receptions. Experience can be gotten doing freelance work for a newspaper. I've done work for my local cancer society. A politician wanting portraits for his website.

The doors will open in time. Just get out there and beat the bushes.

i too am in Oregon. i have seen others from the state on this board. Some seem very eager to help the new folks. i am in Corvallis so if i can help let me know. The weddings i shoot are usually for friends but intend to broaden the client base quite a lot next year. The previous post was great advice also. Might use it myself. Good luck.
