liznin
Does anybody have any ideas on how I could obtain the A2 Capture Software package. I just missed out on one on e-bay and can't find one anywhere else. There is a store in the US who has a copy of the A1 version, but I don't think it will work with the A2 Any ideas? peterblaise
. We're probably gonna have to start sharing our copies - I volunteer to host or find space. Does no one think the Sony/Minolta forum is the place for this? http://www.photo.net/bboard/forum?topic_id=1781 Try also an purchase inquiry from Minolta Mania, but you may have to email them as they seem averse to posting their stock items - too hard to risk actually making a sale (excuse the sarcasm, but really, you have to ASK if they have something?!?)? Who knows? Ask Adrian Paul. perhaps: http://www.minoltamania.co.uk/ http://www.photostore-uk.com/main.htm info@photostore-uk.com More stuff from Minolta UK from David Kilpatrick: http://www.iconpublications.com/minoltasales/salespage1.html http://www.iconpublications.com/f2photo/photoworldsubpage.html - Click! sergey_oboguev
Did you try CaptureOne?
liznin
Thanks for your input Sergey, but CaptureOne appears only to be a RAW image file editor, not a method of controlling the camera from the PC.
peterblaise
. FREE DiMageControl (get it? "damage" control!) for PC computer control of our Minolta DiMage A1 and A2 cameras using USB tether - see through the viewinder on screen and control camera settings and take the picture and download it to the computer! NEAT - I downloaded from http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=13081 "JeanMichel Dubois has developed a freeware version of capture software for the KM A1/A2 cameras. This software allows remote control of the camera and includes remote focus using the computer screen. For anyone still interested in freeware to capture from KM Ax cameras, the files have been updated. Trilingual English/French/German version 1.1.8 is available. Fix: Preview before saving did not use rotation value and garbled the display. Known bug on A1 only: cancelling picture saving then disconnect may lock the A1. Likely not a bug on my own but a bug in KM's SDK. This doesn't occur on A2 and I have no mean to debug on A1." Minolta DiMage A1 : USB driver -> http://jmdubois.free.fr/DC_USBDrvrInstA1.exe (no change), Dimage Control -> http://jmdubois.free.fr/DimageControlA1V1-1-8.zip Minolta DiMage A2 : USB driver -> http://jmdubois.free.fr/DC_USBDrvrInstA2.exe (no change), Dimage Control -> http://jmdubois.free.fr/DimageControlA2V1-1-8.zip Project source code -> http://jmdubois.free.fr/DimageControlSrcV1-1-8.zip Cool! irene_heywood
<p>Thanks for the above links. I have managed to load the Dimage Control software but am having trouble with getting it to communicate with my laptop. The camera seems to be transmitting Ok but the software does not seem to be able to link up. I have used both software and A1 camera on my old computer but cannot get A2 and laptop to work. I suspect that this is because I am using Windows 7. Can anybody confirm this and if so tell me our to overcome the problem?</p>
