jesse_lars
I have been shooting some digital infrared shots with a hoya r72 filter. I have been getting a round circle that is exposed more than the rest fo the picture. I have been using the camera in manual mode and manual focus mode. I tried covering up the eye piece in case there was stray light coming in but that didn't help either. any ideas? thanks jesse
lu_yin
It has to do with coating of your lens. Certain lenses, such as 50/1.4 are know to have coating that would cause the problem you described. Try a different lens and see if your problem persists. Good luck

dave_moeller
You can add the Digital Rebel kit lens to those that have this problem with infrared. I was sorely disappointed when I first tried it, but found that both my Sigma 70-300mm and Canon 50mm f/1.8 work fine.
