Not really sure what you mean by "capture photos professionally". Do you mean that they want to sell their photos, have results which are up to professional standards, or what? As a general comment, however, I would say that many photographers miss the mark in that they don't have an in depth understanding of the technical issues - which they could easily gain by focused study, and believe purchasing the most currently advertised gear will overcome their personal shortcomings. Other issues I see, depending on the the of photography one engages in, are not being in the right place at the right time with an eye to capture the moment (documentary photography), not understanding what commercial companies want in terms of characteristics of images for stock photos, and lastly a lack of patience.

If by "capture photos professionally" you mean, working as a professional photographer ... then the biggest barrier is very common: many photographers have no idea what it takes to run a business, and so of course that business quickly fails. So your support should mostly come in the form of teaching aspiring professionals how to deal with finance, taxes, advertising, customer relationship management, scheduling, and intellectual property/contract issues.

Hina, welcome to p.net.
I don't think there is one specific difficulty in getting that one amazing photo, as the reasons will be different for every person. That's why having a site as this, where many different people with different expertises come together, can be a great help. We're all here to help one another to achieve that next step up in photography, so your efforts in the forums and with image critiques will sure be appreciated!
